Hi! I’m Elaine.
I’m so glad you’re here!
You know? I didn’t start out being interested in health.
I got here after dealing with seemingly random female issues, digestive frustrations, pain, and fatigue during a time when I was a busy mom and home schooler.
But after a journey that sent me from all of this was just the reality of my life to the reality that I can control the majority of my issues with the daily choices I make, I have a powerful goal to help others make similar connections.
I completed training as a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach and then went straight into my in-depth training and became a Nutritional Endocrinology Coach (NEC).
I’m determined to help other motivated women move past all the non-answers, fears, and frustrations that I dealt with. I love teaming up with clients that want to dig into what’s going on with their health and why and then start whittling away at the symptoms and standard, health-sacrificing choices being made and revealing the beautifully renewed and thriving woman inside.
A Little About Me
I come from a hustling family with two hard-working parents that also served in Numerous ways in the community. Just like my parents, I was involved in A Lot of activities while also dancing or teaching dance most days and holding down 2 jobs to pay my way through college and then jumping into what would be the next professional step in my future career of suits and presentations and adding an assortment of kid activities as a new mom.
While all of this was going on, I was also struggling more and more with fatigue, anxiety, weight issues, cycle problems, pain, nausea and other digestive issues, itching, and more. But as I looked around at friends and family that were also challenged by similar combinations of issues, I joined the crowd in believing it was just part of a busy lifestyle, getting older, and the health challenges that were common in my family.
But after a rapid increase in my weight, hair loss, increased anxiety and even panic attacks, coldness, and more, I started a period of frustrating visits to doctors that told me nothing was wrong. After several frustrating appointments with no answers, I happened upon a doctor that opened my eyes to hypothyroidism and then added the possibility of a connected sensitivity to gluten.
Firstly, it was great just to not be dismissed as if I was an idiot. Someone was actually listening to me, asking questions, and putting puzzle pieces together.
Secondly, I was armed with information to dive deeply into research mode. I was already a researcher at heart, so I soon started making connections between many of the choices I was making and how they were challenging my health. And much of what I was discovering had not been asked about, tested, or (apparently) considered in my previous doctors’ appointments or hospital visits.
But the research was real, so I immediately began making changes to my food and lifestyle and soon after began noticing changes. I immediately eliminated gluten and backed off of my intense workouts, and as I continued my researched, I further adjusted my food and living choices, and started seeing changes and recovering my health.
While this is my unique experience, it’s really not that uncommon.
The biggest takeaway for me, though, was to realize we have so much power over our health through our daily choices.
I also soon realized I knew something powerful yet simple that God had equipped me to share, and here I am. I’ve since extended my education and really feel blessed when I get to work with someone to reach for their health goals.
